  4. On the right, under “Post Settings,” click Permalink.

  6. Click Publish or Save.
Note: If you don’t see Automatic Permalink and Custom Permalink it means the post must be published before. Click Revert to draft button to get back them.

Create a redirect for a URL

If any page url doesn’t exist in your blog but readers still visit to that page. They obviously go to the 404 error page and can’t find the content they are looking for. To solve this problem, you should add a custom redirect from that old url to a new url. Put the old url in From: section and new url in To: section. To make it permenant choose “Yes”.

  1. From the menu on the left, click Settings.
  2. Under “Errors and redirects,” click Custom redirects Add.
  3. Add the deleted URL and the URL you want to redirect it to. 
    • If the original article was deleted, turn on Permanent.
  4. Click OK Save.
